Chris Ayliffe
Founder & CEO
Chris started Arctic Meta in 2020 after working across a number of different senior marketing positions in a variety of industries including financial services, legal and tourism.
He likes to label himself as a bit of a “Google Geek” who loves a challenge having specialised in SEO for a number of years. He enjoys nothing more than getting his teeth into new projects and will often find a way to chuck in several puns into his day to day work – we hope his skills are what you’re searching for (couldn’t resist!)
When he’s not working with clients or blogging, Chris can be found out and about with his trusty Nikon photographing the night skies where he boasts a ridiculous number of Northern Lights shots!
Jonathan Duffy
Lead Content Writer
Jonathan Duffy has a background in performance but has worked as a content writer for many industries.
Born in Brisbane, Australia, he worked as the news editor for a community magazine in his early 20s before becoming a medical centre practice manager and then leaving the land down under for Europe.
Jonathan has written for many publications as a guest writer, blogger and columnist but has also worked in the tourism sector as a journalist and digital content editor. He has a lot of experience with SEO and the intricacies of the differences in written English worldwide.
Jonathan is also an award-winning stand-up comedian who has worked professionally for over 15 years. Even though he’s always happy to make a joke, his secret passion is communication and technical writing. Jonathan loves to take complex information and write it in a way that anyone can understand.
Arnar Tómasson
Head of Media & Videography
Arnar is one of Iceland’s top up and coming filmmakers having written, directed, filmed and produced a number of fantastic short films, with his latest (‘What We Did’) receiving ‘the best short film‘ award from Oniros Film Festival in New York.
With an incredibly creative mind and passion for cinematography he has worked across agencies, tourism and telecommunications delivering high impactful branded content.
In his spare time, Arnar loves getting out of the city and taking hikes to the most unusual of locations. With a big passion for Iceland he will always tell you about another waterfall he’s found, and most recently he’s started to share his travels with his new born son, Tómas.
